  Examine your heart according to Biblical evidence 

The question of whether or not God has saved you depends on if He’s supernaturally regenerated your heart by grace and given you saving faith in Christ as a gift (Ephesians 2:8). God reveals Himself to every sinner to some extent (Romans 1:19), and even demons believe in God (James 2:19), but the relevant question is whether or not God has given you saving faith. 

Saving faith is more than believing salvation scriptures apply to you. Saving faith is complete trust in Christ as the Lord of everything in your life. Saving faith is necessary in order for you to have saving repentance. Most sinners have the common repentance of Judas, which is mere sorrow or regret for sin, which doesn’t enable them to stop sinning. Saving repentance is a lifestyle that starts when God supernaturally changes the heart, resulting in obedience to God’s commands by saving faith (Acts 26:20). So let me ask you, or rather, ask yourself, how does your relationship with Christ relate to how you live? The answer to this question will reveal whether your heart has been supernaturally changed by God.
